Health & Fitness



Research shows that students who are active and eat healthy are much more

successful. Health and fitness is integrated into our classroom daily.


Some of the efforts that we can make to be healthy and fit students are:

*Physical Education class at least once a week for 45 minutes

*Daily Recess

*Integration of a Health & Fitness text as an informational text resource

during our Literacy Block

*Nightly Fitness Challenge as a part of Homework

*Fitness Vocabulary Word of the Week (integrated into Word Study)

*Offer of participation in School Clubs (i.e. School Running Club, Basketball)

*Daily Brain Breaks

*Hydration Encouragement throughout the day
